The Rhodes Scholarship Application is a prestigious international postgraduate scholarship to study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. It is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding intellectual ability, character, leadership, and commitment to service. The scholarship was established in 1902 by the will of Cecil Rhodes, a British businessman and politician. Documents Required for Rhodes Scholarship?
As far as required documents of the Rhodes Scholarship Program are concerned, all constituencies will be requiring the following document material in different forms:
- Resumé or Curriculum Vitae or in other words we may say the list of principal activities of applicants (applicants are requested not to include a photograph in their CV or Resume for the Rhodes Scholarship program).
- An essay or personal statement including a clear statement regarding what an applicant wishes to study at Oxford and why.
- Evidence of transcript or academic record (whether complete or in progress) of an undergraduate degree or any postgraduate study program.
- Proficiency in the English language, whether English is not the first language.
- Evidence of Passport/ birth certificate and age.
- A recent photograph of the applicant.
- The applicant must provide 04 reference letters from appraisers, who can attest to the confidential references concerning the applicant’s character as well as the intellect of the applicant i.e., personal, academic, leadership achievements, and extra-curricular activities, and people included should never know the candidate whom they relate.

Step-by-Step Application Process for Rhodes Scholarship?
- The candidate must click on the link given http://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/scholarships/apply and apply online.
- The candidate must submit his/her application online after its fulfillment including all required supporting documents before the deadline.
- While preparing for your application, the candidate must read carefully the general information given, particularly that given on the Rhodes Scholarship official website and the one given on the official page of the University of Oxford www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/graduate.
- Upon finalization/ scrutiny of the online information/ documents provided by the candidates, the shortlisted candidate will be invited for a social engagement and a final interview. The candidate must ensure their presence to attend both in person as there is no accommodation on the date and time after that. The travel expenses of the shortlisted candidates will be paid by Rhodes Trust however, hotel expenses are excluded and those who attend international travels from overseas are not funded.
- The outcome of all the candidates will be informed to them through email.

Selection Procedure

- The confirmation of the Rhodes Scholarship is made upon successful admission of the applicant to the University of Oxford.
- No selection is made unless a sufficiently qualified candidate is found.
- The decision of the selection committee is final.

What is the Procedure after the Selection Process?
- Kindly note that, soon after the election, the applicant needs to apply for the University of Oxford.
- Full applicants of qualified candidates will only be accessible to Rhodes House, Oxford, where the reference of the scholarship can be reused if, the University of Oxford requires a successful candidate’s subsequent application.
