The Deakin University Scholarships is accepting applications from international students for its fully funded programs. These scholarship programs are available for graduate study and will provide an annual stipend of $28,900 a relocation allowance of $500-$1,500 and health insurance.

RTP formerly APA Scholarships are funded by the Australian Government while DUPR Scholarships are funded by Deakin University. Both the awards are available for domestic & international students. RTP award will only be offered to the highest-rated bidders.

Scholarship Coverage

  • Deakin University Scholarships will provide:
  • A stipend of $28,900 per year for 2022 tax-exempt
  • An allowance of $500 to $1,500 for individual to family is awarded to the students moving inter-state or overseas to study at Deakin University Australia.
  • Only for international students: Uniform health insurance policies for international students for the duration of the student visa.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Deakin University (Postgraduate Research) Scholarship, the candidates must meet the requirements mentioned below:

  • To be eligible for an RTP scholarship, RTP fee offset, RTP contribution, or DUPRS, a student must be a domestic or international student enrolled in an HDR course at Deakin University.
  • To be eligible for an RTP fee offset, an applicant must not receive an equivalent Commonwealth award or grant intended to offset HDR fees.
  • To be eligible for an RTP or DUPRS scholarship, a student must not have income from another source to support the student’s ordinary living expenses during their studies if that income is greater than 75 percent of their RTP or DUPRS scholarship. Income unrelated to the course of study or income received during the study but not to support ordinary living costs is not included.
  • Applicants for an RTP or DUPRS scholarship must have completed at least four years of tertiary study and achieved first-class honors or an equivalent level of academic achievement.

For Ph.D

  • Completion of a research project in a related field including thesis or equivalent to at least 25% of the year’s full-time study at level 8 or 9 of an Australian Qualifications Framework to achieving a project grade equivalent with a Deakin grade of 70% or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree (research) in a related field: Completion of a research project including a thesis that is equivalent to at least 25% of a year’s full-time study at Australian Qualifications Framework level 8 or 9 with a project grade equivalent to a Deakin grade of 65% or equivalent.

  2. Do not forget to send certified copies, copies must be certified by one of the following authorized persons before sending:
  • Magistrate.
  • Notary public.
  • An Australian diplomatic officer (or) an Australian consular officer within the meaning of the Consular Fees Act 1955.
  • An employee of the Commonwealth or Australian Trade Commission, who works outside Australia.
