Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet all of the criteria listed below to be eligible for the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics Scholarships program for 2024:
- English is a required language.
- International students from underdeveloped nations are eligible.
- A bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate, or equivalent degree from a college or institution that is accredited (Bologna degrees require a minimum of 180 ECTS).
- An average candidate would have a university diploma in business administration, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or economics.
- A high level of proficiency in the English language: IELTS Academic Test score of 6.5 or higher or a TOEFL score of 90 or higher

How to Apply?
To apply for this scholarship, please follow the application steps below:
- Gather the following materials:
Transcripts from College: When applying, you may upload an unofficial transcript if you don’t yet have an official one. However, before the start of the academic year in September, all accepted students are required to turn in their official transcripts.
Undergraduate Degree: If you are applying without having finished your undergraduate degree program, you must attach a signed letter committing to completing your undergraduate degree before starting the Barcelona GSE master’s program.
- A photocopied passport
- Curriculum vitae (no more than two pages)
- Statement of purpose, no more than 700 words
- If you don’t speak English well or didn’t complete your undergraduate studies in an English-speaking country, you must provide evidence of your linguistic ability.
- You must present TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge scores or certificates as proof of your English language ability unless you are a native speaker or completed your undergraduate studies in an English-speaking institution. We advise you to hold off on applying if you don’t already have one of these language certifications and the necessary supporting documentation.
- Optimal yet strongly advised: Scores on the GRE General Test, which are frequently considered to be crucial factors in admission choices, are recommended for all applicants to all programs.
(2) Complete the online application form. There is a single online application form for all programs. You will have the choice to include up to three programs in the order of your choice when you create your application.
(3) You may only submit one application per academic year, with a maximum of three program selections.
(4) There is a 60 euro (non-refundable) application fee. There are alternatives for the majority of common credit cards and bank transfers.
(5) If spaces are still available in your program, you should receive your admission decision and any financial assistance offered within 4-6 weeks.
