Scholarship Coverages

  • The Undergraduate Students will be receiving between $2,500 and $15,000 with details given below.
  1. a) One-year tenure: One year’s tuition is between $2,500 to $8,000.
  2. b) Two-year tenure: $2,500 to $12,000, up to $8,000 in the first academic year, and up to $4,000 in the second academic year. Last updated on August 4, 2023.
  3. c) Three years’ tenure: $2,500 to $15,000, up to $8,000 in the first year of study and up to $4,000 in the 2nd year and up to $3,000 in the 3rd year. Graduates receive between $2,500 and $15,000, which can be used for one or more years of the recipient’s graduate studies.
  • Graduate students receive between $2,500 and $15,000 to be applied toward one or more years of the recipient’s degree.

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Waikato Scholarships

To be eligible for the University of Waikato Scholarships, an applicant must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Required Language: English.
  • Eligible countries: All countries of the world.
  • Apply for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course as a new international student at the University of Waikato;
  • received a conditional or unconditional offer of a place from the University of Waikato (including an offer of a degree course packaged with an English language certificate;
  • Bachelor’s Leaving Certificate; University Preparatory Certificate; International Diploma (Business));
  • University of Waikato International Diploma (Computer Science) or Postgraduate Diploma (Pre-Masters);
  • The minimum GPA equivalent is B+ in the grade used for admission to the University of Waikato;
  • is not currently enrolled in any undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University of Waikato and has no outstanding fees at the time of application;
  • does not come through the sponsoring body of the University of Waikato;
  • are not coming to the University of Waikato under a guaranteed credit contract or study abroad or student exchange.
