Documents Required

Non-citizens of the EU, EEA, or EFTA nations who wish to pursue a master’s degree at NTNU must submit proof that they have the funds to support themselves in Norway.

A statement from your bank demonstrating that you have at least NOK 123,519 in your account.

  • The statement should be 3 months earlier.
  • The statements can be in any country’s currency.
  • All documents must be in English.

How much will it cost to live in Norway?

You should be aware that the Norwegian government advises international students to have NOK 123 519 at their disposal for one academic year, which amounts to approximately NOK 12300 per month and covers your living expenses if you live frugally. These are some things you should consider.

  • Housing: Your single largest expenditure will be housing. For a single room with a common bathroom and kitchen, you should budget between NOK 4000 and 6000.
  • Food: Around 3000 per month
  • Transportation: This can depend on your routine but can be around NOK 500 per month in budget.
  • Book and supplies: You can get your resources from Facebook and other groups it varies but you may pay more at each semester’s beginning.
  • NTNU: Have no tuition fees.
